CHALLENGE
PwC needed a way to engage stakeholders with their automated tax data collection tools — a powerful suite of technology that too often got lost in its own complexity.
INSIGHT
The instinct was to explain. But with buyers and users often lacking deep technical expertise, traditional explanations created more confusion than clarity. The result? Low engagement, low conversion, and missed opportunity.
SOLUTION
We flipped the approach — shifting the focus from how the system works to what it enables.
We created an augmented reality experience that placed users inside the server, where they could follow the data on its journey through the system. Abstract concepts like "security" were made tangible — represented visually by things like fences or locks — while complex ideas such as data encryption were brought to life through playful metaphors like a Rubik’s Cube.
Designed for small groups (up to 5 people), the experience runs for around 15 minutes — concise, immersive, and easy to grasp.
The result? A global hit. What started as a one-off activation quickly became a key asset — now traveling worldwide across PwC offices and events
